As the number of green initiatives continues to skyrocket at state and federal levels, ISSA has launched a number of programs to help you stay current with the latest regulations and trends. One of these initiatives, the ISSA Green Connections Center (GCC), made its successful debut at last year’s ISSA/INTERCLEAN® show in Chicago, IL. The GCC returns this November to ISSA/INTERCLEAN North America 2010, in Orlando, FL, specifically setting out to illustrate the industry’s mission of connecting cleaning, science, and health.
The GCC brings together industry leaders to showcase the latest technology, certifications, advocacy efforts, and government regulations. In Orlando, the GCC will again feature a full-size mock restroom and classroom that will host a variety of green-product demonstrations all three days of the trade show, November 10-12. Additionally, the center will include green-product displays in the popular Green Product Showcase, pertinent industry-research reports and case studies in the ISSA Resource Library, and a host of government agencies, certifying bodies, and industry consultants to offer information and answer your questions in the Green Pavilion.
In 2009, the GCC’s mock classroom and restroom areas hosted more than 30 live demonstrations from a variety of cleaning-product manufacturers. The Green Product Showcase included 38 product displays while the Green Pavilion featured 13 exhibitors, such as Green Seal®, EcoLogo, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. In total, over 50 organizations participated as GCC supporters at Visionary, Innovative, and Industry levels.
