June 20, 2012 — Alison Fissette of Fissette Floor Sanding was named the winner of ProTeam’s Oldest Vac Contest contest to find the longest-lasting vacuum still in use.
The contest, which ran from March 1 to April 30, required contestants to submit pictures of their ProTeam vacuum and its serial number, to the ProTeam Facebook page. ProTeam then verified the vacuum’s age based on its serial number. Fissette’s winning vacuum has been in the field for 21 years. Guy Robarge of FBG Service Corp. came in second place with a 19-year-old vacuum, while David Hodge of Montgomery County Public Schools placed third in the contest with a 14-year-old vacuum.
