- Ecolab Launches Operating Room Hygiene Program
March 26, 2012 — Ecolab, Inc. has launched a new training and education program aimed at improving the cleanliness of hospital operating rooms and reducing the risk of infections, reports www.thestreet.com.
Ecolab’s new program, EnCompass™ O.R. Environmental Hygiene, uses standardized processes, training, objective monitoring, and automated reporting to increase operating room hygiene. The program has received the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) “Seal of Recognition” for meeting the guidelines set forth in AORN’s Perioperative Standards and Recommended Practices.
