June 14, 2012 — xpedx’s Cincinnati, OH, Distribution Center has marked five years without an U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) recordable incident.
An OSHA recordable incident is defined as a work-related accident resulting in the use of prescription medication, medical treatment beyond first aid, loss of consciousness, days away from work, restricted work, or transfer to another job. The Cincinnati facility attributes its safety success to education and training, housekeeping, safety audits, and employee engagement.
