- Study Finds More Than 500 Types of Bacteria in Offices
June 19, 2012 — More than 500 species of bacteria can be found in the average office, according to a joint study between San Diego State University and the University of Arizona.
Researchers tested five surfaces—chairs, phones, computer mouses, keyboards, and desktops—in 90 offices across three U.S. cities, reports The Times of India. Chairs and phones were found to have the highest concentrations of bacteria.
