Rhode Island Janitors End Strike

August 29, 2012 — A custodial and support worker strike that delayed the opening of schools in North Kingstown, RI, earlier this week has ended.

While a new agreement has not been reached, more than 150 school employees agreed to return to work in order to prevent children from missing additional school days, reports WLNE-TV in Providence, RI. Representatives of the North Kingstown Educational Support Professionals Association will continue to work on a new contract with the North Kingstown School District.
