- OSHA Revises Hazardous Communications Standard
March 21, 2012 — The U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has revised its Hazard Communication Standard.
The revised standard is now in line with the United Nations’ Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals. Once fully implemented in 2016, the standard will classify chemicals according to health and physical hazards as well as establish consistent labels and safety data sheets for domestic and imported chemicals.
