- USGBC Delays LEED 2012 Voting
June 5, 2012 — Balloting for the next version of the U.S. Green Building Council’s (USGBC) Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) green building rating system, LEED 2012, has been delayed until June 1, 2013.
As a result of the delay, LEED 2012 will be renamed LEED V4, reports www.green-buildings.com. The USGBC also announced a fifth public comment period, which will run from October 2, 2012, through December 10, 2012.
