Green Clean Schools National Summit Set for November 12
By Bill Balek — posted 10/09/2008

The Illinois based Healthy Schools Campaign is inviting industry and others to come together for a Green Clean Schools National Summit set for Nov. 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Washington, DC

This National Summit is borne out of recognition of the growing interest across the nation in promoting green cleaning for schools legislation at the state level. ISSA is a sponsor of this important event.

The Summit will bring together national organizations, corporate leaders, state-level activists, and other interested individuals for the purpose of developing state-specific strategies based on lessons learned in New York State and Illinois.

As we write, there are over a dozen states planning to introduce legislation that would require schools to protect the health of students and staff by implementing green cleaning programs. It is important that we work to harmonize the laws that emanate at the state level, and that is a major purpose of the National Summit.

ISSA members are encouraged to attend. For more information, please click HERE.
