3M Acquires Johnson Controls’ Safety Division

3M has purchased Johnson Controls, Inc.’s Scott Safety for US$2 billion.

The acquisition of Scott Safety expands 3M’s offerings of personal safety products. The deal is expected to be finalized by the middle of 2017, pending customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.
