Allied Universal Achieves CIMS-GB Certification

February 16, 2017 Allied Universal Achieves CIMS-GB Certification

Allied Universal’s janitorial services division has successfully completed certification to the ISSA Cleaning Industry Management Standard (CIMS) and CIMS-Green Building (CIMS-GB) criteria.

To earn CIMS certification, Allied Universal underwent a comprehensive assessment by an independent, accredited CIMS assessor to demonstrate its delivery of consistent, quality service and a commitment to efficient operations and continuous improvement. As a result, Allied Universal demonstrated compliance with the five core Standard principles: quality systems; service delivery; human resources; health, safety, and environmental stewardship; and management commitment.

Additionally, compliance with the CIMS-GB criteria illustrates Allied Universal’s commitment to delivering green and sustainable cleaning programs. The CIMS-GB designation will enable the building service contractor to provide green cleaning services that will assist customers in achieving points under the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED for Existing Buildings: Operations and Maintenance Green Building Rating System.

“We are proud to have earned the industry’s highest designations of quality compliance throughout our operation,” said Mark Olivas, president of Allied Universal’s janitorial services division. “Our administrative processes were reviewed in detail over a three-day period, and the cleanliness of the properties, as well as the inspection of the equipment and chemicals, were reviewed in detail, and we passed with flying colors. It’s a huge accomplishment for our team.”
