CDC Declares End to Chipotle E. Coli Outbreak

February 2, 2016 << Back to News

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has declared an end to an E. coli outbreak linked to Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc.

Since October 2015, the restaurant chain has been plagued by an E. coli outbreak, which has sickened more than 50 individuals in nine states. A CDC investigation was unable to determine the source of the outbreak, but officials indicated it was likely due to a common ingredient.

No additional reports of the bacteria have been linked to Chipotle in the past two months, reports CNN
