Chipotle to Shut Down for Company-Wide Food Safety Training

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. announced the company will close all U.S. locations on February 8 to conduct food safety training with its employees.

In recent months, the restaurant chain has been plagued by an E. coli outbreak, which has sickened more than 50 individuals in nine states, as well as an outbreak of norovirus linked to a Boston, MA, location. The day-long training session will feature a discussion by Chipotle executives on new safety measures and an employee question-and-answer session, reports USA Today.
