Listeria Fears Prompt Burrito Recall

May 17, 2017

Green Chile Concepts, LLC has issued a voluntary recall for more than 250,000 pounds of its frozen burritos due to the risk of listeria contamination.

The New Mexico-based Green Chile Concepts issued the recall after routine product testing by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service revealed traces of the bacteria. The frozen burritos were shipped to retail and industrial distributors in California, Illinois, Oregon, and South Dakota.

So far no reports of illness have been linked to the potentially contaminated burritos, Fox News reports.
