Newell Brands Bolsters 1st-Quarter Sales
May 9, 2017Newell Brands, parent company of Rubbermaid Commercial Products, has reported first-quarter net sales of US$3.3 billion, up 148 percent from $1.3 billion for the same quarter last year.
Newell attributes the significant gains to core sales growth and the inclusion of net sales from Jarden Corp., which the company purchased last year. Newell’s work division, which includes its commercial products and solutions, posted quarterly sales of $614 million, an increase of 128.5 percent compared with $269 million one year earlier.
