Newell Brands Divests Storage Tote Business
January 17, 2017Newell Brands, Inc., parent company of Rubbermaid Commercial Products, has divested its consumer storage totes business to United Solutions Corp.
The deal includes storage totes sold under the Rubbermaid brand name. The transaction is part of Newell’s overall strategy to streamline its product portfolio following the company’s purchase of Jarden Corp. in 2016. Financial terms of the deal, which is expected to close during the first half of 2017, were not disclosed, Plastic News reports.
