Federal Adverse Effects Reporting
Accessible by: anyone
Effective on August 17 of 1998, the Environmental Protection Agency issued a final rule clarifying its reporting requirements mandated by Section 6(a)(2) of the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act, which requires registrants to report any studies, incidents, or other information indicating adverse effects of EPA registered pesticides.
The 6(a)(2) final rule establishes specific requirements on what triggers the obligation to report, what information must be reported, when and how the information must be submitted to EPA, and who has the obligation to report.
