Hone Your Training Skills
Do you want to differentiate yourself from the competition, position yourself to deliver Cleaning Management Institute training, proctor exams, and help issue certification by becoming a CMI accredited trainer?
Industry professionals have the opportunity to attend an Accredited Certification Trainer (A.C.T.) workshop on the best practices and principles of effective training in the cleaning industry.
Those who successfully complete the workshop and pass an examination will achieve accreditation as a professional trainer and will be eligible to deliver CMI training as well as proctor and grade exams. A.C.T. workshops will be hosted in conjunction with CIMS I.C.E. workshops beginning in early 2017.
The A.C.T. curriculum includes:
- Psychology of learning (adult learning principles)
- Preparing lesson plans
- Recognizing and maximizing engagement of all learning styles
- Instructional methods
- How to conduct classroom presentations
To participate in an A.C.T. workshop, you must be an active ISSA Certification Expert (I.C.E.)-certified professional. For a complete list of eligibility requirements, access the A.C.T. Criteria document (PDF).
Not I.C.E. certified yet? No problem! Since I.C.E. and A.C.T. workshops generally are hosted on consecutive days, you can achieve both designations during one program and receive a discount by participating in both! (ISSA members receive a discount of $295!)
Organizations who are interested in having ISSA conduct a private, custom A.C.T. workshop at their own facility should contact CMI Training Development Specialist Lucas Wendt at 800-225-4772 or email@example.com for more information.
