CMI Program Verification
Validate Your Training Program Excellence
Training program providers (manufacturers, distributors, facility service providers, and third parties) can have their training content reviewed and verified by an independent third party and achieve ISSA Cleaning Management Institute (CMI) verification. Verified programs form the basis for cleaning professional certification, allowing providers to give the benefit of certification directly through their training program.
A series of standards specific to various training categories (e.g., hard floor care, carpet care, safety, etc.) have been published and form the basis for the reviews.
In addition to meeting the relevant, category-specific standard, all programs must contain certain training best-practice elements. The best-practice elements include a document containing course name, time frame, objective, materials required, and lesson outline, as well as a comprehensive examination.

Verified programs may be prescriptive, meaning a company can promote its products as long as it meets all aspects of the training standard.
