GBAC Bioremediation and Response Fundamentals
Develop the knowledge and competence to identify, evaluate, reduce, and eliminate biological threats and improve environmental and patient recovery. This course demonstrates hands-on situational response training and covers the fundamentals of biohazardous material clean up and waste management. Upon course completion, participants are eligible to obtain the status of Global BioRisk Advisory Council (GBAC), a division of ISSA, Forensic Restoration Technician™ after agreeing to the GBAC Operator Code of Conduct. This course is ideal for cleaning industry professionals, environmental services personnel, forensic restoration teams, biosafety professionals, biohazardous spill response teams, and all related professionals.
- Learn infection control and contamination control measures.
- Understand innovative cutting-edge solutions and technologies.
- Review the basics of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Understand proper donning and doffing procedures.
- Build skills in bio-response and biohazard remediation.
Fees apply for this workshop. US$750.00 for ISSA members, $1,000 for nonmembers.

Here is what you can expect: Enhanced cleaning protocols and employee temperature checks in the Hyatt. Mandatory face coverings for hotel employees in all indoor public areas. The workshop room will be set with physical distancing measures for attendees. Packaged lunches and disposable cutlery will be provided.
Here is what is expected of you: Masks or face coverings are required by Baltimore County and the State of Maryland at all public areas of businesses and buildings and in outdoor public areas when it is not possible to maintain social distancing.
