June 24, 20203M, in partnership with Discovery Education, has announced the 10 finalists in the 2020 Young Scientist Challenge.
The 13th-annual contest called for students in grades 5-8 to submit a video demonstrating an innovation that could provide a solution to an everyday problem. All 10 finalists will receive US$1,000 and the opportunity to work virtually with a 3M scientist to develop a prototype of their invention. 3M will host an interactive online competition to determine the winner in October.
