3M Continues Campaign Against Counterfeit PPE

January 19, 2021 3M Continues Campaign Against Counterfeit PPE

U.S. District Judge Wilhelmina M. Wright has granted 3M’s request for a preliminary injunction against Nationwide Source Inc.

The injunction calls for the Florida-based distributor to stop using 3M’s trademarks and cease representing itself as an authorized 3M distributor. 3M filed a federal lawsuit in December of last year against Nationwide Source accusing the supplier of selling more than 10,000 counterfeit N95 respirators to Hennepin County Medical Center. 3M alleges the distributor sold the personal protective equipment (PPE) at six times the price of its authentic N95 masks, The Star Tribune reports.
