August 12, 2019 3M Divests Ballistic-Protection Business for $91 Million

3M has entered into an agreement to divest its advanced ballistic-protection business to Avon Rubber p.l.c. for US$91 million.

Per the terms of the deal, more than 280 employees of 3M’s ballistic-protection division will transfer to Avon Rubber. The transaction is expected to close by early 2020, subject to customary regulatory and closing conditions.
