3M Reports Rise in 3rd-Quarter Sales

3M has reported fiscal-third-quarter sales of US$8.4 billion, up 4.5% year-on-year.
Sales in the company’s health care division climbed 25.5% to $2.2 billion and its consumer division saw a 5.6% growth in sales to $1.4 billion. 3M’s safety and industrial division reported sales of $3 billion, an increase of 6.9% while sales in the company’s transportation and electronics division declined 7.4% to $2.3 billion.
