ABM Helps Cool L.A.’s Griffith Observatory

ABM recently completed an energy improvement contract with the Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks to upgrade the historic Griffith Observatory.
The agreement called for ABM to improve the 84-year-old observatory’s air conditioning systems. ABM replaced the facility’s outdated water-cooled chillers with modern air-cooled chillers and also installed upgraded HVAC controls, pumps, and piping, maximizing the observatory’s energy and operational efficiency. Financial details of the contract were not disclosed.
