ABM Helps Pennsylvania School District Reduce Energy Costs

ABM has secured an energy performance contract with Charleroi Area School District (CASD) in Charleroi, Pennsylvania.
The contract calls for ABM to install improved lighting, updated building control systems, water conservation measures, and HVAC systems throughout CASD’s facilities. ABM will also install Needlepoint Bipolar Ionization technology, a pathogen and particle control measure that improves indoor air quality, in the district’s buildings.
Based on current energy prices, the deal is expected to reduce the facilities’ energy consumption and save CASD more than US$4.6 million in energy and operating costs. Financial terms of the contract were not disclosed.
