ABM has been awarded a contract with Fremont, OH, to implement energy and facility improvement projects throughout the city.

The deal calls for ABM to install energy-efficient street lights and upgrade the city’s residential and commercial water-metering system. ABM will also upgrade HVAC units in eight city facilities.

Based on current energy prices, the deal is expected to reduce the city’s energy consumption and save Fremont more than US$12 million in energy and operating costs during the next 15 years. Financial terms of the contract were not disclosed.
