Aramark Launches Pop-Up Grocery Store Network
June 1, 2020Aramark has opened more than 100 pop-up grocery stores at health care facilities across the country to support frontline workers combating the COVID-19 pandemic.
The stores are an effort by Aramark to provide first responders such as doctors, nurses, and hospital staff with the opportunity to purchase baked goods, dairy products, nonperishable items, and health and beauty products. Aramark was able to source and stock the stores by leveraging the company’s vast distributor network.
“We are thankful for the dedicated frontline healthcare providers, who day-in and day-out treat and care for patients during this pandemic,” said Jeff Gilliam, president of Aramark’s healthcare division. “Creating these pop-up grocery stores is our way of providing a small convenience for them to procure essential items they need.”
