Aramark to Manufacture Essential PPE

April 14, 2020 Aramark to Manufacture Essential PPE

Aramark has announced the company will begin manufacturing essential personal protective equipment (PPE) in order to support the response to the coronavirus pandemic.

Aramark’s uniform services division has redeployed its production lines to manufacture respirator and medical masks, scrubs, and isolation gowns. Aramark delivered its first shipments of gowns and scrubs to clients last week. Production of masks and respirators is expected to begin in July. The company anticipates it will produce millions of pieces of PPE once all plants are converted and operating at full capacity.

“As the country pulls together to battle the COVID-19 pandemic, we are pleased to be able to assist the brave frontline workers who need it most,” said John Zillmer, Aramark CEO. “It’s this selfless passion for service that defines our company and we are proud to do our part during this extraordinary time.”
