Cintas and ISSA Announce Finalists for Top Custodian

March 16, 2021 Cintas and ISSA Announce Finalists for Top Custodian

Cintas Corp. has announced the 10 finalists for its annual Custodian of the Year contest.

The contest, now in its eighth year, called for elementary, middle, high-school, and college students, in addition to staff, to submit a short essay describing why their school’s custodian deserves the award. Ten finalists have been selected from a pool of hundreds of submissions. The public is invited to vote for its top pick at www.custodianoftheyear.com through April 16.

The winning custodian will receive a cash prize of US$10,000 and an additional $5,000 in Rubbermaid Commercial Products and Cintas products for his/her school.  The winner’s school will also receive a comprehensive training and development package from ISSA valued at $20,000 and enrollment in the GBAC Fundamentals Online Course, provided by the Global Biorisk Advisory Council® (GBAC), a Division of ISSA. The nine runners-up will each receive $1,000 and free tuition to one ISSA Cleaning Management Institute (CMI) training event, valued at up to $1,500.

“For the second year in a row, we are amazed at the dedication and commitment from each of the 10 finalists,” said John Barrett, ISSA Executive Director. “Custodians are the glue that holds many schools together, and it’s an honor to give these 10 finalists the recognition they deserve.”
