Cintas and ISSA Narrow Search for Top Custodian

March 16, 2020 Cintas and ISSA Narrow Search for Top Custodian

Cintas Corp. has announced the 10 finalists for its annual Custodian of the Year contest.

The contest, now in its seventh year, called for elementary, middle, high-school, and college students, in addition to staff, to submit a short essay describing why their school’s custodian deserves the award. Ten finalists have been selected from a pool of hundreds of submissions. The public is invited to vote for its top pick at www.custodianoftheyear.com through April 17.

“It was difficult narrowing down thousands of stories to 10 finalists,” said John Barrett, Executive Director, ISSA. “Each custodian has their own unique story, showcasing their astonishing commitment and dedication, which is why these finalists are so worthy of recognition.”

The winning custodian will receive a cash prize of US$10,000 and an additional $5,000 in Rubbermaid Commercial Products and Cintas products for his/her school. The winner’s school will also receive a comprehensive training and development package from ISSA valued at $20,000. The nine runners-up will each receive $1,000 and free tuition to one ISSA Cleaning Management Institute (CMI) training event, valued at up to $1,500.
