Cintas and ISSA Start Search for Top CustodianFebruary 3, 2020
Cintas Corp. is now accepting submissions for its annual Custodian of the Year contest.
The contest, now in its seventh year, calls for elementary, middle, high-school, and college students, in addition to staff, to submit a short essay by March 2 describing why their school’s custodian deserves the award. Ten finalists will be announced March 16, at which time online voting for the winning custodian will commence on Cintas’ website.
The winning custodian will receive a cash prize of US$10,000 and an additional $5,000 in Rubbermaid Commercial Products and Cintas products for his/her school. The winner’s school will also receive a comprehensive training and development package from ISSA valued at $20,000. The nine runners-up will each receive $1,000 and free tuition to one ISSA Cleaning Management Institute (CMI) training event, valued at up to $1,500.
“Custodians do much more than clean,” said John Barrett, ISSA Executive Director. “They protect children in schools, elderly in long-term care facilities, guests in hotels, visitors in stores, and so much more by creating clean, healthy, and safe environments. ISSA is committed to changing the way the world views cleaning, and we are honored to help Cintas recognize dedicated custodians across the country.”
