Colgate-Palmolive Reports Rise in 4th-Quarter Sales

Colgate-Palmolive Co. has reported fourth-quarter net sales of US$4.3 billion, an increase of 7.5% year-over-year.

Colgate-Palmolive reported fourth-quarter operating profit of $647 million, or $0.75 per share, nearly in line with the same period last year. In North America, Colgate-Palmolive improved net sales 10% while its European division increased sales 14% The company’s Asia-Pacific segment saw sales rise 7% and its Latin America division posted a 2.5% decline.
