Comments Sought for Chemical Proportioning Systems Standard
November 29, 2018The Simon Institute recently released a draft standard (Safe Use of Cleaning Chemicals) on the use of of chemical proportioning or dispensing systems.
It is the opinion of ISSA that the proposed standard will have an unreasonable adverse impact on the use of these systems without any commensurate safety and health benefit, as the controls appear to be unwarranted. Additionally, the standard may discourage use of dispensing and proportioning systems.
ISSA recommends that manufacturers, distributors, and other impacted users review the draft standard and submit comments to Simon Institute. It also asks them to provide ISSA with comments and feedback by emailing ISSA Environmental Services Director Bill Balek at [email protected].
