Ecolab Increases 3rd-Quarter Earnings 7%

Ecolab Inc. has declared a fiscal third-quarter profit of US$464.2 million, or $1.59 per share, up 7% from $501.4 million, or $1.48 per share, one year earlier.
The company reported third-quarter sales of $3.81 billion, an increase of 2% compared to the same period one year ago. Ecolab’s industrial segment improved sales 5%, while revenues in the company’s institutional business grew 4%.
