Ecolab Increases 4th-Quarter Earnings 9%

Ecolab Inc. has declared a fiscal fourth-quarter profit of US$430 million, or $1.47 per share, up 9% from one year earlier.
The company reported fourth-quarter sales of $3.8 billion, an increase of 2% compared to the same period one year ago. Ecolab’s industrial segment improved sales 6%, while revenues in the company’s institutional business grew 3%.
