Essendant VP Announces Retirement

Joe Templet, senior vice president of trade development for Essendant, has announced his retirement effective March 31.

Templet has been with Essendant for more than three decades. He began his career as vice president of sales in 1985. Templet has served in a variety of leadership roles throughout his 35-year tenure with the company, OPI reports.

“During his time at Essendant, countless associates turned to Joe as a friend and mentor. Without a doubt, Joe has established himself as a ‘legend’ in our industry,” said Harry Dochelli, Essendant president. “He was one of the biggest voices for customer experience at Essendant and has gained immeasurable amounts of respect from customers and manufacturers alike across the industry. Joe truly viewed his customers and his associates as part of his family. He was the embodiment of Essendant’s values, and he will be truly missed – though we wish him well on this new chapter.”
