Essity Enhances Recycling Capabilities of French Factory
August 13, 2021Essity has announced a US$12.9 million investment in the company’s Hondouville, France operations.

The enhanced recycling system is targeted to be operational by early next year and will allow the plant to recover and recycle up to 98% of the fiber contained in each carton, which will then be repurposed for manufacturing toilet paper, hand towels, and industrial wiping papers. Currently more than 63% of beverage cartons in all of France are processed at Essity’s Hondouville factory.
