Essity Finalizes Purchase of Shares in Productos Familia

Essity has successfully completed its purchase of approximately 45% of the Colombian hygiene company Productos Familia S.A.

The US$1.5 billion transaction, originally announced in April of this year, increases Essity’s ownership of the company to at least 95.8%. The company has been an owner of Productos Familia since 1985 and prior to the most recent acquisition owned 50% of the company.
