GBAC Director Honored by VenuesNow Magazine

Patricia Olinger, executive director of the Global Biorisk Advisory Council® (GBAC), a Division of ISSA, has been named a 2020 All-Star by VenuesNow magazine.
The publication’s second-annual listing honors people and facilities for their innovations and success across the live entertainment industry. This year’s index recognizes those who helped revive the industry during the coronavirus pandemic.
Olinger was recognized by VenuesNow for her work in developing the GBAC® STAR accreditation program, which has assisted hundreds of facilities worldwide to reopen for business safely.
“My whole career has really been around supporting people. My specialty in biorisk management has been looking at that infection control process and advising people,” said Olinger. “It’s really humbling to be able to work with all of these amazing groups, amazing venues, to help them reopen and then look at what the future is, so that if and when that next pandemic comes that they’re prepared.”
