Georgia-Pacific Completes Sale of Nonwovens Business
May 17, 2021Georgia-Pacific LLC, parent company of GP PRO, has finalized the divestment of its U.S. nonwovens business segment to the Glatfelter Corp.
The US$175 million sale was announced earlier this year and includes Georgia-Pacific’s nonwovens operations at Mt. Holly, North Carolina, and a nonwovens pilot line in Memphis, Tennessee. Per the terms of the deal, approximately 150 current Georgia-Pacific nonwoven workers will become employees of Glatfelter.
