Georgia-Pacific Plant Honored for Conservation Efforts
June 10, 2020Georgia-Pacific LLC, parent company of Georgia-Pacific Professional (GP PRO), has been awarded a Conservation Certification from the Wildlife Habitat Council.
Georgia-Pacific was recognized for the conservation efforts of its containerboard mill in Monticello, Mississippi, The Daily Leader reports. The Monticello mill was honored for its wildlife monitoring efforts and its participation in the Catch-A-Dream Foundation annual hunt. Georgia-Pacific’s facility includes more than 2,000 acres of forest and wetlands areas and supports a wide variety of wildlife from butterflies and birds to alligators and deer.
