Industry Loses ManageMen Founder
November 6, 2018John Walker, founder and president of ManageMen, Inc., passed away October 28, 2018. He was 70 years old.
A longtime contributor to the cleaning industry, Walker founded the consulting firm ManageMen in 1985 and developed the (OS1) cleaning system, which established standardized procedures for cleaning operations. Walker was the first director of education for ISSA and in 1993, he founded the professional development course Janitor University.
Walker is survived by his wife Renae, son Ben, daughter Lisa, and three granddaughters. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Walker’s favorite charity, Los Angeles Habilitation House (LAHH).
