Industry Loses Procyon Founder
January 25, 2019Ivan Day, founder of Procyon, passed away January 18, 2019. He was 61 years old.
A cleaning industry veteran, Day founded Procyon more than 35 years ago with the goal of developing an environmentally friendly carpet-cleaning product that is safer and healthier for cleaning professionals and their customers.
In addition to his contributions to the cleaning industry, Day was also a dedicated foster parent. He fostered and cared for more than 550 children in his lifetime.
A memorial service for Day will take place February 23 at the Eagles Lodge in Spokane, WA.
