Industry Loses Veteran Distributor

John Bielenberg, former owner of Chicago-based jansan distributor Bolotin Inc., passed away August 28. He was 71 years old.
Bielenberg was born in Western Springs, Illinois, in 1948. He began his career in the janitorial distribution industry with Bolotin in 1973. He built the company into one of the largest distributors in the Chicagoland area, eventually merging with another organization in 1988. Bielenberg then moved to California, where he spent 13 years as vice president and general manager of Waxie Sanitary Supply’s Northern California division. For the past five years, Bielenberg served as president of The Touch Group.
Bielenberg was the devoted partner of Ellen Greenblatt, the father of three, and grandfather of seven.
