Innovation Awards Program Call for Submissions Opens

The Innovation Awards Program returns to ISSA Show North America! Now in its 11th year, the Innovation Awards Program showcases new solutions to challenges faced by industry professionals and provides a pivotal platform for exhibitors to launch their products or service innovations.

The Innovation Awards Program Call for Submissions is now open to all exhibitors participating in ISSA Show North America 2020. You can easily submit your innovative product or service online by visiting the Innovation Awards Program Page.

The program recognizes the cleaning industry’s most revolutionary products and services as voted on by cleaning-industry distributors, building service contractors, in-house service providers, and residential cleaners.

“Innovation is the driving force behind progress,” stated Kim Althoff, ISSA Vice President of Sales, Trade Shows, and Publications. “In the most tangible terms, ISSA Show North America is helping to fulfill our mission of ‘advancing clean and driving innovation’ with this program, through which we support and recognize the latest in products and services our members are bringing to market.” 

How the Program Works
Entries are organized into five categories—Cleaning Agents, Dispensers, Equipment, Services and Technology, and Supplies and Accessories—each vying for the Innovation Category Awards and, ultimately, the Innovation of the Year Award.

Cleaning-industry distributors, building service contractors, residential cleaning contractors, in-house service providers, and wholesalers vote on the entries online in the months leading up to the show. Online voting will kick off July 13 and closes October 23.

Voters may only cast one vote per product category and all votes submitted will determine the five category winners.

After online voting concludes, a panel of industry experts serve as the official judges who will evaluate the entries using an extensive set of criteria. A weighted scale combines the online votes, onsite votes, and the judges’ ballots to determine the 2020 Innovation of the Year Award Winner.

All Innovation Awards Program entrants must be a participating exhibitor at ISSA Show North America 2020 in Chicago. The entries themselves will be on display in the Innovation Showcase, Booth 4206, throughout the exhibit days, October 27-29.

Entering the Program
To enter, please select one of the two packages:  Standard or Premium. Details for the packages can be found on the Innovation Awards Program Page. All entries will receive a promotional Innovation Success Kit, placement on the Innovation Awards voting webpage, product placement within the Innovation Showcase (Booth 4206) and more!

ISSA Show North America provides extensive marketing and public relations support for all product entrants participating in the Innovation Awards Program.

Premium entries will benefit from added visibility and promotional opportunities, including a professional in-booth interview and the ability to demonstrate the product in a 15- to 30-minute live demonstration or conduct a presentation in the Innovation Theater, Booth 5008.

After a submission is entered, ISSA Show North America will provide the tools needed to complete the upload process to the official Innovation voting page.

Milestone Dates
The deadline for entries is July 20.

Participants will have ample time to review all entry listings prior to the launch of voting. Online voting for the Innovation Category Awards launches July 31 and closes October 23—just three days before the opening of ISSA Show North America 2020.

The Category Award Winners will be announced during the Lunch & Learn in the Vista Ballroom, October 26, at 11:45 A.M. at McCormick Place. The 2020 Innovation of the Year Award Winner will be announced during the Innovation Award Ceremony in the Innovation Showcase, Booth 4206 from 1:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. October 29—the final day of ISSA Show North America 2020.
