Janitors in Glasgow Agree to Strike

April 13, 2017

Custodial workers in Glasgow, Scotland, have agreed to go on three-day strike beginning April 25 in protest of continued wage disputes with Cordia Services LLP.

Unison, the trade union representing the custodians, contends Cordia refuses to pay a Working Context and Demands Payment—or WCD—which is a wage paid on top of an existing salary for additional job duties. Unison members have participated in 64 days of strike action since March 2016 as part of their ongoing dispute with Cordia Services, GlasgowLive.com reports
