Johnson Controls Contracted by Lake Superior State University

Johnson Controls, Inc. has secured a contract with Lake Superior State University (LSSU) in Sault Ste. Marie, MI, to implement several energy and facility improvement across its 115-acre campus.
The contract calls for Johnson Controls to modernize the university’s 41 facilities with an improved energy management system, LED lighting, and updated plumbing fixtures. Based on current energy prices, the deal is expected to reduce energy consumption and save LSSU more than US$71 million in energy and operating costs during the next 30 years. The upgrade project is expected to be completed by the end of 2020.
