Kimberly-Clark Raises 1st-Quarter Sales 8%

Kimberly-Clark Corp., parent company of Kimberly-Clark Professional, reported first-quarter revenue of US$5 billion, an increase of 8% from $4.6 billion one year ago.

Kimberly-Clark also reported a quarterly net income of $675 million, or $1.93 per share, up from $466 million, or $1.32 per share, for the same period last year. Sales in the company’s Kimberly-Clark Professional segment increased 4% from the previous year to $800 million.
