Medline Donates to Local Food Banks

Medline Industries Inc. has donated more than 550 pounds of fresh produce to Meals on Wheels Northeastern Illinois and the Northfield Township Food Pantry.

The fruits and vegetables were grown and harvested by Medline employees from the company’s fruit and vegetable garden, which is part of its Northfield, Illinois, headquarters campus. Medline also announced the company has donated more than US$47,000 to food pantries across the country as part of its Medline CARES initiative, which launched earlier this year.

“We intentionally focus on key areas where we feel we can have the largest impact on our employees and the broader community,” said Karen Frey, Medline senior philanthropy manager. “Our ultimate goal is to stimulate health equity and improve population health. This is and always will be our ongoing commitment to our communities.”
